What are some good sources on stretching and doing splits? (thomas kurz?)?

I am looking for a safe way to do them. I am looking for an organized routine. I would like some isometric stretching to be involved since it is the fastest way. I have done a lot of research and still havent been able to put together a good routine.

If anyone knows where to find thomas kurz secrets to stretching dvd. let me know also.

Stretching exercises for learning the splits?

Does anyone know of a stretching routine for learning the splits? Pictures or a video would be great as well.

You need to perform dynamic stretches in the morning, and again before your workout.

For your workout, warm up with some cardio for a few minutes, follow up with dynamic stretches again.

Do you workout, and at the end, follow it up with a cooldown and static stretches for a few minutes.

After your static stretches, go into isometric exercises.

Be sure to rest completely the next day. Your rest is what increases your range of motion. Be sure that you know not only what stretches to do, but when to do them. Otherwise, you will not see any improvement.

Stretching my splits?

Ok, so i have all of my splits. The thing is…i have to stretch to get them every time! i know that sounds stupid..but some of my friends can just go right into their splits without even stretching! is there any stretch i can do to help me do that? some people told me to just fall asleep while in my splits….but that sounds…not comfortable. any ideas? thank you!

stretching before doing the splits is smart. if they just og into them right away they can hurt themselves.
But if you really want to do what they do, put 2-4 pillows on the floor -stretch- put your front leg on them and let the back one slide back, this makes you go into a really deep split and soon your muscles will be ok waith doing the split at any time. of course you need to sit in your splits every day for like 5 minutes each leg and them 10 minutes in you centre split

is there any technique besides stretching that can help you do the splits?

ive stretched for a long time to try to get the splits but i feel as if its not doing anything. is there any way besides stretching that can speed up my progress? like massaging my leg muscles a certain way or certain area? can i relax my muscles to where they’ll just flop loosely into the splits??? please help!

Yeah you can have work with and without tension. When you work yourself at least 50% the muscles are working. You can have someone work the area with massage and range of motion to help stretch your tissues while you are passive. AI worked with another woman a few years back doing this – took some time – but did help. You can email me for the details if you wish – help doing splits is not a common request for most massage therapists.
